Alexandria Watkins of Seville, OH, is a new initiate of Kappa Delta Pi at Ashland University.

Watkins is majoring in early childhood education. She is the daughter of David Watkins and Doris Louise of Seville. Watkins is a 2011 graduate of Cloverleaf High School.

The group's purpose is to recognize individuals who have made outstanding contributions to education and to promote development of worthy educational ideals. The group strives to enhance continued professional growth. Its activities include an annual College of Education chicken barbeque, initiation ceremony and meetings on topics related to professional growth. Membership in Kappa Delta Pi requires a 3.2 grade point average and specific academic requirements.
