Ashland University junior David Grim, a finance major from Chillicothe, Ohio, 45601, received the Outstanding Finance and Accounting Student Award from Financial Executives International (FEI).

Grim, a 2014 graduate of Southeastern High School, is the son of Michael and Amy Grim of Chillicothe.

"David was selected not only for his outstanding academic performance, but also for his active involvement in his future professional career," said Terry Rumker, CFP, assistant professor of finance at Ashland University. "He has demonstrated great leadership potential in the business world and I believe he will excel in whatever they choose." Grim will be a member of the Eagle Investment Group in the fall, helping to manage $1.4 million of the University's endowment.

Grim received $100 awards from the Northeast Ohio Chapter of FEI, a certificate of academic achievement from the national office of FEI, inclusion of the student's resume in a packet distributed to FEI members in attendance at the April 11 meeting, a one-year complimentary subscription to FERF (Financial Executive Research Foundation), and the Financial Executive magazine titled FEI Daily.

FEI is a professional association for corporate finance executives with chapters located across the United States and Canada. FEI members are the chief financial officers or senior financial executives from both public and private sector companies, as well as government/service organizations and academia. Members are committed to supporting outstanding local talent who share an interest in the finance and accounting professions.
