Ashley Miklas of New London, OH is a member of the Student Veterans of America Chapter at Ashland University. Miklas is majoring in French. Miklas is a 2006 graduate of New London High School. Miklas serves as the president of the Student Veterans of America chapter.

The Ashland University Chapter of Student Veterans of America was organized in 2012 and gained full charter status in 2013. There are approximately 100 veterans at Ashland University. A Veteran Resource Guide has been published, Veterans Day Ceremonies have been conducted on campus the last two years, and AU has been recognized nationally in 2013 and 2014 as a Military Friendly School. The local chapter is associated with the national organization located in Washington, D. C.
