Austin Borton of Dayton, OH is a member of the women's cross country team at Ashland University.

Borton is majoring in early childhood education.

She is the daughter of Nick and Teri Borton of Dayton. Borton is a 2013 graduate of Archbishop Alter High School.

The Ashland University women's cross country team competes in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC). The team is led by the new head coach, Tom Scott. Scott, a 2012 graduate of AU, is returning to the program. Six women's teams are advancing from the Midwest Regional to the NCAA Division II Championships this fall. Scott is pushing for the women's cross country team to make their first full-squad appearance since 2011, and their third this century. The Eagles have many experienced runners this fall season.
