Brandon Wurgess of Fremont, OH is a member of the Drop of a Hat players theatre group at Ashland University.

Wurgess is majoring in hospitality management. He is the son of Beth Wurgess of Fremont. He is a 2011 graduate of Fremont Ross High School.

Drop of a Hat Players is a Broadway Musical Revue performance group composed of 18 students. Its mission is to make a positive difference in the lives of Ashland University students so they become confident and skilled performers, while promoting a vibrant relationship between Ashland University and surrounding communities. Students involved in this organization perform musical revues designed to fit 15, 30 or 60 minute musical selections at no charge to civic groups for banquets, parties, meetings or special events. Performances include a variety of solos, duets, and group numbers crossing a variety of styles and periods. Their Shows include traditional Broadway tunes as well as contemporary Broadway hits such as Hairspray, Wicked, Rent, and Aida.
