Breanna Row Completed Business Internship at Ashland University

Breanna Row of Galena, OH, completed an internship through the Dauch College of Business and Economics at Ashland University.

According to Dr. Khushwant Pittenger, business professor and internship coordinator at Ashland, these required business internships are a good way for students to explore their career choices, network with professionals, build their resumes and develop applicable skills.

Row interned with Ron Foth Advertising in Columbus, OH, under the supervision of Julie Low and Bob Fradette.

Row's duties included using media, buying software, constantly using Excel, PowerPoint and e-mail, working with other media employees on projects, and interacting with sale representatives from various TV and radio stations.

Her major projects included researching Wendy's market analysis, media buying, print buying while using software and completing research for their client, the California Academy of Sciences.

Row said she learned more about teamwork, communication, the in's and out's of their media buying software, and how to effectively reach target markets with social media.

"My internship will help me be able to relate what I am learning back to the real world and business world," Row said.

Row is majoring in marketing.

Row is the daughter of Larry and Connie Row.

Row is a graduate of Olentangy High School.
