Butler, Pa. Resident Named Scholarship Recipient at Ashland University

Ashland University junior Laurena Shick, a resident of Butler, Pa., has been named recipient of the 2017-18 Business Advisory Council Endowed Scholarship presented by the Dauch College of Business and Economics at Ashland University. The scholarship is for $1,000.

Shick is majoring in fashion merchandising and marketing at Ashland University and expects to graduate in May of 2019. She is the daughter of Jean Shick and the late Terry Shick and is a 2015 graduate of Slippery Rock Area High School.

The endowed scholarship was established in 2006 by members of the Dauch College of Business Advisory Council and the income from the scholarship is awarded annually to a full-time undergraduate junior student majoring in business or economics with a minimum 3.5 GPA.

Those selected for this scholarship demonstrates outstanding leadership in the Dauch College of Business, on the AU campus and in the community. The student selected also has the willingness and availability to work with the College and the Business Advisory Council on assigned projects. This scholarship is awarded over and above financial need.
