CJ Hassmann of Mansfield, OH, is a member of Ashland University's American Chemical Society.

Hassmann is majoring in biochemistry. He is the son of Christopher and Melissa Hassmann of Mansfield. Hassmann is a 2011 graduate of Lexington High School.

The purpose of the American Chemical Society (ACS) Student Chapter is to increase interest in chemistry and chemistry-related fields among undergraduate students and community members, as well as enhance professional development among undergraduates, through regular meetings, social events, and community service events. The ACS Student Chapter is open to all undergraduates who are interested in the chemical sciences.
