Carsten Dembeck of Brighton, MI, is a member of the Division II varsity men's baseball team at Ashland University.

Dembeck is majoring in supply chain management.

He is the son of Craig and Wanda Dembeck of Brighton. Dembeck is a 2013 graduate of Father Gabriel Richard High School. Dembeck, a junior, is an outfielder for the Eagles.

The Ashland University baseball team competes in NCAA Division II in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC). The Eagles are led by head coach John Schaly, now entering his 19th season. The Eagles play their home games at Sarber Athletic Complex. The Eagles baseball team, which finished last season 34-19 and won the first-ever GLIAC South baseball championship, has been chosen to repeat as the GLIAC South Division champions by the 2016 GLIAC Baseball Preseason Coaches' Poll.
