Chris Harvey is a Member of the Ashland University Football Team

Chris Harvey of Columbus, OH, is a member of the Ashland University Football Team that travels to Michigan Tech this Saturday, Nov. 8, for a 1 p.m. game that will determine which team will secure a spot in the NCAA Division II Playoffs.

The Eagles (8-1) are currently ranked seventh in the Super Region Four, while the Huskies (7-1) are ranked sixth. Only the top six teams will advance to the playoffs.

In previous years, Ashland has earned a spot in the postseason on five different occasions (1986, 1997, 2007, 2008 and 2012).

Harvey is majoring in multidisciplinary studies.

He is the son of Chris Harvey and Connie Vaughn. Harvey is a 2008 graduate of Walnut Ridge High School.

The Ashland University football team competes in NCAA Division II in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC). The Eagles are led by head coach Lee Owens, now in his 11th season. The Eagles play their home games in Jack Miller Stadium/Martinelli Field on the Ashland University campus.
