Manthey is majoring in public relations. He is the son of David and Jennifer Manthey of Munroe Falls. Manthey is a 2010 graduate of Stow-Monroe Falls High School. Manthey serves as the president for Phi Kappa Psi.

Phi Kappa Psi encourages scholarship, provides leadership and business training, enhances loyalty and fosters high ideals. Fraternity activities include the Kit Carson Run for Philanthropy, Thanksgiving canned food drive, Halloween party for alumni and a Father's Day pig roast. Members must maintain a 2.3 grade point average.
