Yambor is majoring in political science. He is the son of Albert and Melinda Yambor of West Salem. Yambor is a 2011 graduate of Northwestern High School. Yambor serves as vice president of judicial and standards of interfraternity council.

Interfraternity Council (IFC) governs all chartered fraternities with the purpose of coordinating fraternity activities to ensure scholastic, social and cultural environments to benefit men and the general student body. IFC sponsors fraternity Rush Week, Greek Week, Greek Honors Reception, speakers and philanthropies. Its members consist of representatives from each of the fraternities on the Ashland campus.
