The Ashland University women's basketball team competes in NCAA Division II in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC). They are led by head coach Sue Ramsey, associate head coach Robyn Fralick and assistant coach Shannon Sword. The Eagles play their homes games in Kates Gymnasium on the Ashland University campus. The Ashland University women's basketball team is ranked sixth in this week's USA Today/ESPN Division II Top 25 poll. This is the highest ranking in the program's history.

AU was ninth in last week's poll. The Eagles are 18-1, 12-0 in GLIAC play. Ashland has won a school record 18 consecutive games. The Eagles have a 14-game home winning streak dating back to last season. That is also the longest home win streak in school history.
