Eddie Carney of Madison, OH is a member of the Drop of a Hat players theatre group at Ashland University.

Carney is majoring in vocal music education. He is a 2007 Graduate of Madison High School. Carney serves as Accompanist for the Drop of a Hat Players.

Drop of a Hat Players is a Broadway Musical Revue performance group composed of 18 students. Its mission is to make a positive difference in the lives of Ashland University students so they become confident and skilled performers, while promoting a vibrant relationship between Ashland University and surrounding communities. Students involved in this organization perform musical revues designed to fit 15, 30 or 60 minute musical selections at no charge to civic groups for banquets, parties, meetings or special events. Performances include a variety of solos, duets, and group numbers crossing a variety of styles and periods. Their Shows include traditional Broadway tunes as well as contemporary Broadway hits such as Hairspray, Wicked, Rent, and Aida.
