Emily Lewis of Beavercreek, OH is a member of Peers Reaching Out for Ultimate Development (PROUD) at Ashland University.

Lewis is the daughter of Andrew and Sandie Lewis of Beavercreek.

Lewis is a 2009 graduate of Beavercreek High School.

PROUD (Partners Reaching out for Ultimate Development) is a tutoring program designed to enable Ashland University students to serve as tutors and mentors for at-risk students within the Ashland City School District. PROUD members meet with students twice a week. The participants form individual relationships with the youth by tutoring them and taking them to various community and campus events. Members are also required to attend a number of educational meetings.

Membership in PROUD is open to students who are maintaining a minimum GPA of 2.5. Prospective members must go through an application process and no member may be participating in student teaching. Members must be able to remain in the program for the entire year.
