Emily Wirtz Initiated to Phi Sigma Iota Honor Society

Emily Wirtz of Austintown, OH, was initiated on Wednesday, February 24, to the Phi Sigma Iota International Foreign Language Honor Society at Ashland University.

Wirtz is majoring in creative writing, psychology and religion, and minoring in Spanish, ethics and music.

She is the daughter of Robert and Patricia Wirtz of Austintown. Wirtz is a 2013 graduate of Austintown Fitch High School.

To be eligible for membership into this Society, students must major or minor in a foreign language, obtain junior status or higher and have a 3.3 GPA or higher in general coursework and in the foreign language studied.
