Emily Wirtz of Austintown, OH, is a member of Ashland University's Club Tennis team.

Wirtz is majoring in psychology. She is the daughter of Robert and Patricia Wirtz of Austintown. Wirtz is a 2013 graduate of Austintown Fitch High School. Wirtz serves as the vice president of co-ed club tennis.

Club sports provide the Ashland University students an opportunity to play at a competitive level against other universities outside the realm of varsity athletics. It also provides students with opportunities for recreation and physical activity in a wide variety of sports. Competitive clubs contend with sport clubs from other towns or universities, traveling to different events throughout the year.
