Jamie Hence is a Member of Ashland University's No. 8 Ranked Football Team

Jamie Hence of Pickerington, OH, is a wide receiver for the undefeated Ashland University Eagles Football Team, which is currently ranked eighth in the American Football Coaches Association (ACFA) Division II Coaches' Poll.

The Eagles (7-0) travel to Northern Michigan (4-3) this Saturday, Oct. 24, for a 1:00 p.m. game.

In previous years, Ashland has won four-straight games against the Wildcats with a 44-14 win last year.

Hence is majoring in sport communication. He is the son of Jamie and Felicia Hence of Pickerington. Hence is a 2013 graduate of Pickerington North High School.

The Ashland University football team competes in NCAA Division II in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC). The Eagles are led by head coach Lee Owens, now entering his 12th season. The Eagles play their home games in Jack Miller Stadium/Martinelli Field on the Ashland University campus. The Eagles finished last season at 8-2 and finished second in the GLIAC South Division.
