The purpose of the Black Student Union is to promote an understanding of the African American culture based on respect and development of unity among African Americans and other students. The organization sponsors social, cultural and educational activities. It strives to bring issues of diversity to the campus forefront. The organization often sponsors events in conjunction with Minority Student Services members, and membership is open to all interested students.
