Johnathan Benko is a member of Ashland University's Society. Benko is majoring in fashion merchandising. He is the son of Thomas and Constance Benko of Ashland. Benko is a 2013 graduate of Cuyahoga Heights High School.

The Ashland University student chapter of SHRM engages students in the field of Human Resource Management. Students meet on a regular basis with Human Resource professionals in the field of compensation, benefits, global human resources, labor relations, diversity and organizational & employee development. Students have the opportunity to pursue HR Certification from the National SHRM headquarters. Ashland University students compete with other Ohio universities and colleges in the Ohio HR games yearly. SHRM has become the cornerstone for online tools, professional development and resources for the human resource community.
