Joseph Ciaccia of Westlake, OH is a member of the Mathematics Association of America at Ashland University.

Ciaccia is majoring in integrated mathematics education. He is the son of Anthony and Jeanne Ciaccia of Westlake. Ciaccia is a 2009 graduate of Westlake High School.

The purpose of MAA is to further the development of interest in mathematics and to provide relevant mathematical information to students. Organization events include workshops with junior high school students, problem solving, career information and providing assistance with the computer science programming contest.
