Outwater is majoring in intervention specialist, early childhood education. She is the daughter of Kevin and Tina Outwater of Wadsworth. Outwater is a 2011 graduate of Archbishop Hoban High School.

Alpha Delta Pi, originally called The Adelphean Society (from the Greek word for sister), was the first secret society for college women and was founded on May 15, 1851, at the first institution in the world to grant degrees to women: Wesleyan Female College in Macon, Georgia. The women of Alpha Delta Pi carry the open motto "We live for each other" with them daily as they espouse and enact the guiding principles of scholarship, leadership, sisterhood and service.
