Katelyn Csenar Completed Business Internship at Ashland University

Katelyn Csenar of Granger, IN, completed an internship through the Dauch College of Business and Economics at Ashland University.

According to Dr. Khushwant Pittenger, business professor and internship coordinator at Ashland, these required business internships are a good way for students to explore their career choices, network with professionals, build their resumes and develop applicable skills.

Csenar interned with Cummins Inc. in Columbus, IN, under the supervision of Stephanie Garrett.

Csenar's duties included collecting and collaborating data from several entities and creating user-friendly Excel reports for people like project managers and the parts and recon director.

Her major projects included analyzing the trends from all quotes from 2009 to present day and creating spreadsheets with raw data, then producing charts, tables and trend lines.

Csenar said she learned accountability, honesty, perseverance, and about company culture.

"I think my internship will help me with my classes from now on because I have seen the 'information in action'," Csenar said.

Csenar is majoring in accounting and finance.

Csenar is the daughter of Tom and Meg Csenar.

Csenar is a 2009 graduate of Penn High School.
