Kathryn Brickner, of Middleburg Heights, OH is a member of the Student Senate at Ashland University.

Brickner is majoring in political science. She is the daughter of Michael and Jennifer Brickner of Middleburg Heights. Brickner is a 2011 graduate of Holy Name High School. Brickner serves as the academics chair for Student Senate.

Student Senate strives to serve as a medium for expressing student opinion and works to promote the campus community. Student Senate represents the student body to the Ashland University Board of Trustees, the president and other campus administration. Members of the Student Senate actively serve on numerous institutional and Faculty Senate planning committees. Membership on Ashland University's Student Senate is open to full-time students at the University. Students must be elected by the student body and maintain a minimum overall GPA of 2.5.
