Kayla Hoover Presented at the Undergraduate Research and Creative Activity Symposium at Ashland University

Kayla Hoover of Big Prairie, OH, made a presentation, "The Effect of Self-Expanding Tasks on Implicit and Explicit Self-Concept" and "Suicide Education Media: How it Affects College Students' Attitude towards Suicide", during the College of Arts and Sciences' third annual Undergraduate Research and Creative Activity Symposium held in late March.

Hoover is majoring in psychology. She is the daughter of Ken Hoover and Kathy Thompson. Hoover is a 2008 graduate of West Holmes High School.

The event provides students in the College of Arts and Sciences the chance to present the results of independent study projects, thesis work, term papers or literary analysis, exhibit their artwork, or give literary readings, musical or theatrical performances in a professional setting. A total of 51 performances, presentations and exhibitions were made by 65 students, representing 14 departments from the College of Arts and Sciences.
