Mallory Serrano of Dalton, OH, is a member of Ashland University's Student Veterans of America Chapter.

Serrano is majoring in social work.

She is the daughter of Jose Serrano and Evelyn MacAulay. Serrano is a 2012 graduate of Dalton High School.

The Ashland University Chapter of Student Veterans of America was organized in 2012 and gained full charter status in 2013. A Veteran Resource Guide has been published, Veterans Day Ceremonies have been conducted on campus, and AU has been recognized nationally as a Military Friendly School. AU has been a Yellow Ribbon Program participating institution since 2011. Student veterans of AU have access to personal and professional counseling, academic advising, career services, financial aid, disability services, withdrawals due to deployments, Yellow Ribbon funds, and recognition events. The local chapter is associated with the national organization located in Washington, D. C.
