Marie Southerland Presented at the Undergraduate Research and Creative Activity Symposium at Ashland University

Marie Southerland of Ravenna, OH, made a presentation, "An Analysis of the Bacteriophage E70tv-2 Conjunction with current Antibiotics to Treat Pseudomonas Aeruginosa, during the College of Arts and Sciences' third annual Undergraduate Research and Creative Activity Symposium held in late March.

Southerland is majoring in biochemistry. She is the daughter of Janice Southerland of Ravenna. Southerland is a 2008 graduate of St Thomas Aquinas High School.

The event provides students in the College of Arts and Sciences the chance to present the results of independent study projects, thesis work, term papers or literary analysis, exhibit their artwork, or give literary readings, musical or theatrical performances in a professional setting. A total of 51 performances, presentations and exhibitions were made by 65 students, representing 14 departments from the College of Arts and Sciences.
