Marissa Willman Named Homecoming Queen at Ashland University

Following a vote of the Ashland University student body, the Ashland University 2015 homecoming king and queen were announced and presented during halftime of the Oct. 17 football game between the Eagles and Hillsdale Chargers.

The queen's throne belongs to Marissa Willman, an integrated language arts major from Attica, Ohio. Willman serves as co-captain of the Eagle Elite Dance Team, as well as a member of the Delta Zeta Sorority. Willman is the daughter of Christopher and Dana Willman, and she is a 2012 graduate of Seneca East High School. Willman was nominated for homecoming queen by the Eagle Elite Dance Team.

The king's throne belongs to Brandon Freeman, an exercise science major from Macedonia, Ohio.

Freeman is a sprinter for the varsity men's track and field team, and has served as a resident assistant at AU. Freeman is the son of Thurston and Ana Freeman, and he is a 2012 graduate of Nordonia High School. Freeman was nominated for homecoming king by Diversity on Campus.

Other members of the court included Bailey Fullwiler, a social work major from Hilliard, Ohio; Ed Hunt, a business administration major from Shelton, Conn.; Julianna Hritz, a family and consumer science major from Seven Fields, Pa.; Marty Renemans, a biology major from Danville, Ohio; Natasha Kirkbride, a dietetics major from Pemberville, Ohio; Chase Shrum, a nursing major from Louisville, Ohio; Gaby Vitel, a fashion merchandise major from Elk Grove Village, Ill.; and AJ Snell, an integrated social studies major from Mansfield, Ohio.
