Matthew Wilcox is a Member of Ashland University's American Medical Student Association Organization

Matthew Wilcox of Ada, OH, is a member of the American Medical Association organization at Ashland University.

Wilcox is majoring in exercise science.

He is the son of Thomas and Brenda Wilcox of Ada. Wilcox is a 2014 graduate of Ada High School.

This past year the Ashland University's American Medical Student Association (AMSA) has gained several new members for a total of 35 members and a number of those members are nationally recognized members through the AMSA organization. Just last year, the Ashland charter was passed at the national convention in New Orleans and Ashland University is now a nationally recognized chapter. In addition, a few members are striving to attend the National Convention in Washington, D.C. representing Ashland University and presenting research that was conducted here through the science department. AMSA's goals for next year are to increase membership through Ashland and through AMSA.
