Nick Seemann of Akron, OH, is starring in "Enchanted April" at Ashland University.

Seemann is majoring in theatre.

Seemann is the son of Gaylord and Lori Seemann of Akron.

Seemann is a 2011 graduate of Revere High School.

Seemann will play the role of Antony in Enchanted April.

Ashland University Department of Theatre continues its 2011-2012 "Season of Turning Points" with the romantic comedy "Enchanted April," a 2003 Tony Award-nominated stage play by Matthew Barber based on the novel by Elizabeth von Armin.

Directed by Associate Professor of Theatre Dr. Teresa Durbin-Ames, the performances are staged in Ashland University's Hugo Young Theatre for 7:30 p.m. curtains on Feb. 17, 18, 24, 25, and at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 19. A talkback with the cast is scheduled immediately following the Feb. 24 performance.

This comical, restorative journey of discovery follows two frustrated London housewives and two very different English women who decide to rent a villa in Italy for a holiday away from their bleak lives. Traveling from darkness to light, and from inhibition to unrestrained joy, the women rediscover themselves in ways that they could never have expected.
