Scott Ackerman of Bellevue, OH, is a member of the Geology Club at Ashland University.

Ackerman is majoring in physical education. He is the son of Michael and Diane Ackerman of Bellevue. Ackerman is a 2009 graduate of Bellevue High School.

The purpose of the Geology Club is to explore areas of geology and/or earth science that cannot be studied in the classroom or lab. Activities include field trips to areas of geological interest and lectures on geology and occupations in geology and related fields. Membership is open to all interested students.
