Shayne Smith of Bellevue, OH, is a member of the Ashland University Theatre Department's production of 'Bus Stop'.

Smith is majoring in Music Education.

He is the son of Stewart and Dana Smith of Bellevue.

Smith is a 2012 graduate of Bellevue High School.

Ashland University Department of Theatre opens its 2012-2013 "Season of Comedy from Stage and Screen" with William Inge's "Bus Stop." The performace is being directed by Professor of Theatre Ric Goodwin. The production's set is co-designed by former technical director Brian Kelley and Assistant Professor of Theatre Scott Chapman while Assistant Professor of Theatre Sarah Russell designed the costumes.

The evening performances begin at 7:30 p.m. in the intimate Studio Theatre on Sept. 27-29 and Oct. 4-6, along with a 2 p.m. matinee on Sept. 30. Season tickets are still available and include admission to all four main stage productions at a reduced price compared to single tickets. Season tickets for all four productions are $32 for adults; and $28 for senior citizens, students and Ashland University faculty/staff. Single tickets are $10 for adults; $9 for senior citizens, students, University faculty/staff; $8 for groups of 10 or more; and $2 for Ashland University students.
