Shelby Emmons of Polk, OH is a member of Alpha Lambda Delta at Ashland University.

Emmons is majoring in early childhood education. She is the daughter of David and Beverly Emmons of Polk. Emmons is a 2010 graduate of Mapleton High School.

Alpha Lambda Delta honors students who in their first or first two semesters have achieved a 3.5 cumulative grade point average. The honor society's purpose is to encourage superior academic achievement among students in their first year, to promote intelligent living, and to assist students in recognizing and developing meaningful goals.
