Wooster Resident Completes Summer Internship

Wooster resident Lauren Taylor, a junior marketing major at Ashland University, completed an internship with Crazy Monkey Baking in Ashland, Ohio. This internship was under the supervision of the organization's brand manager, Shane Dinsmore.

Taylor is a 2015 graduate of Wooster High School.

While working at Crazy Monkey Baking, some of Taylor's responsibilities as an intern were creating and managing a new Instagram account, redesigning their website, and completing competition and consumer analyses. Something major that she accomplished was surpassing her goal of 300 followers for Crazy Monkey Baking's Instagram account and reaching more than 400 followers by the end of her internship.

Taylor said, "Social media is a major key to businesses success on spreading awareness not only to their target market but to spread and widen their target market goals. I recently received many reviews, comments, and in-person compliments on Crazy Monkey Baking's more active social media."

Taylor believes her classes at AU gave her a solid foundation of financial and marketing vocabulary.

"Without prior knowledge of certain concepts and vocabulary I wouldn't have the grasp on ideas that the owner and brand manager threw towards me," Taylor said.
